Firefox Extension Needed: TV Reader
I recently hooked my iMac up to my flat-screen using the standard HDMI to Mini DVI cord, mainly to watch Internet video via Hulu and Boxee, but what has surprised me is how much I actually just use my TV as a computer screen. I read the news, check the blogs, respond to email, etc.
I think the main reason why I do this is because it’s more social, as in I can sit next to my wife, instead of being tucked away in the den where the computer is located.
But…
Doing anything on the web from 10 ft. away is totally different (duh) than being 10 inches away, especially when reading 12 pt. text. My work around for this is to re-size the text in Firefox each time I drag something from my iMac screen to the flat-screen, but that is a lot of work as I then have to re-size it again when I drag it back to my iMac screen.

The ideal Firefox extension for this situation is one that detects that I just moved Firefox to my flat-screen and auto-magically re-sizes the text for 10 ft. viewing / reading.
I know, the market for Internet-on-the-TV is still small, but it’s growing…
