Online Interest Aggregator

One online trend that I enjoy is how a lot of sites are starting to take into account my taste and input to tailor more relevant information to me, not just people like me, but actually me.

This is being done by music sites (last.fm, imeem.com, etc.), video sites (Netflix, Hulu, etc.), news sites (google reader, digg, etc.), eCommerce sites (Amazon) and many others.

I’m not sure how this would work, but I wish each of these sites could communicate with each other to give me even better and more relevant information.  Perhaps this is something that could live in my browser?  Regardless, I think it would be useful in that it would make the algorithms powering each of these sites more powerful, and it would allow me to get relevant information from a site where I have yet to provide information.

I want an interest aggregator that learns from me and delivers me ever more relevant and tailored news, music, movies, TV shows, products, websites, etc.  And I want the information I provide one site to be available to another site, thus allowing me to scale my activity on the web and get ever more efficient in the amount of time I spend searching for relevant products, news, music, movies and TV episodes.
