superb usability: google maps (print)
Per usual, I went to google maps to print directions and when I clicked print I noticed a couple of enhancements. See below for a screen capture.

A few things to point out:
- They’ve added larger icons on the left for the Interstate and direction. This is critical for scanning while driving.
- They’ve added to ability to add an actual picture (which they have) of the final location or a map of the immediate area. This is critical as most times we don’t know exactly where we are going (and thus knowing the surrounding streets is important) and / or we don’t know what the final destination looks like.
- I also like the notes box as it allows me to add a phone number.
The only thing I would change to make this more usable is to drop the distance and estimated time down to the top of the direction list. This would help keep all the critical information on the same visual plane.
