My concern is that although Yahoo is talking about connecting all their properties to harness the latent social network that exists within their properties, the reason they are doing this isn’t because it will create the best user experience.  It’s because it’s what advertisers want.  That’s a problem.  They are, and always have been, too focused on making advertisers happy rather than consumers.
