pitchfork.tv: slick user experience
The real innovation of Pitchfork.tv isn’t the fact that it is the “first-ever music video channel dedicated to the documentation of independent music.”
The real innovation is in the user experience. If you didn’t notice, you can explore the contents of the site while still watching videos. At first I was scared to click on anything while the video was playing thinking that the page would reload and I would lose the video, but I did it anyway and was pleasantly surprised by the video continuing while the contents changed.
They nailed the insight: it’s about videos AND exploration.
