stretching a moment

I was just sitting on the couch reflecting on what I’ve done lately and found that I recalled things by thinking of a picture I took, or video I captured, or twitter I sent or - you get the picture.  This got me thinking about experiencing life, and how I don’t feel as if I’ve truly experienced something unless I captured it or shared it digitally.

It’s almost as if the moments of my life have been stretched out so that I can experience them in multiple ways.  For instance, I can enjoy the moment, I can enjoy telling others about the moment while in the moment, and then I can document the moment to share at a later date with others, thus extending the moment and sharing it (again) with others.

What I’m not sure about is whether this stretching of moments dilutes the actual moment or enhances it, but that’s a key question.  I’d rather have one good moment than ten diluted moments.
