The future of music →
Bob Lefestz explains why DRM is crap and how the music industry might (read: will) look very different in the not too distant future. Personally, I think eMusic is leading the way to the future with their fixed monthly fees for an allotted number of downloads that are completely DRM free. The only downfall will be if they continue to only focus on Indie labels (which they have to because of the Major Labels reluctance to accept non-DRM distribution of their music). They need to provide more mainstream music if they ever want to be more than a niche product. Needless to say, I love their niche product.
